Marine Design Centre: The new £2.3 million Marine Design Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne will also help boost growth in this sector and become a recognised international centre for marine design skills bringing major contracts to the region's defence and marine businesses. The vision of the Centre is that the Marine Design Centre will be a global showcase for state of the art design skill and technology. It will allow companies within our region to access new markets, grow market share and gain competitive advantage.
